I think they will shrink to a core fanatical number, they will stop preaching publicly and social media linking to their website will be witnessing or either they will be told the preaching is finished, hunker down and wait out the end.

The future of the Watchtower Society
by mickygrey ini left way back in 2002, seems a long time ago now and i haven't really kept up with any developments since.. i've kept one ear open and noticed recently there is talk of the wt being investigated over the sex abuse cover ups, but over the years this story has come in and out of the news.. what is everybody's predictions as to the future of the borg?
i know what most people want to happen, but realistically, are we just looking at certain elements being hit because of the restructuring they did a few years ago to protect from this very thing?
looking further ahead, you'd like to think that more people would wake up?

Kh's will be gone in 5 years! Here's how it will work
by nowwhat? inbesides the media center they are going to build in n.y. it's been noted they are also building one and a studio in australia.
there is no way donations can cover these massive projects.
so the money will have to come from the sale of the remaining halls.

I've often thought that the future for the watchtower is in small groups or individuals that no longer go door to door nor speak publicly about their beliefs. At some point they will be told the preaching has been done and all efforts will now be geared toward keeping the membership they have faithful till the end.
I forsee them having one elder per group, all information will be by video including public talks.
tithing has already been introduced in readiness.

I knew one who would walk dangerous or lonely roads at night in total security because jehovah kept him in a safety bubble. ( I popped it one night and he walked home shitting his pants all the way)
he also believed that satan gave him flat tyres and red lights, jehovah gave him green lights

First Proper Chat With the JWs in Almost 11 Years
by passwordprotected insince disassociating in october 2008, i've had little to no direct contact with the jws, apart from immediate family members (ie my parents).
i've lived in my rented flat since may 2014 and haven't had a knock on the door in that whole time.
until saturday morning.

very well handled. I like that one god less thought too.
the last time they came to my place was years ago too... I was no where as diplomatic.

the Watchtower guide to sex.
by stan livedeath init occurs to me the gb probably dont have much experience when it comes (!
) to marital sex guidance, so i think its only fair and reasonable we should put together a few hints to help them publish a suitable guide.. it is well known a lot of jw's get married in order to have sex, and all to frequently the marriages fail, possibly due to sexual problems, so the watchtower guide to sex should prove to be very worthwhile.. any jw courting couple intending to get married should be allowed to have a copy of the guide, and should only be available by a special order through the body of elders.. copies are not available to any single bros and sisters.. all and any advice in it must adhere to bible principles, and certainly no salty language or smut will be allowed.. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------.
so--to get this started--and in no particular order--here is my first suggestion:.

So basically cults and sects need CESNUR
thus anyone who uses them is admitting to being one or the other even if they say they are not.
strange bedfellows indeed!

I don't want to be a Jehovah's Witness anymore, but I'm scared of losing my family- Story On Australia's ABC
by fulltimestudent inthe abc is a government owned media group, and today's web-page included this story:.
its formatted as answers to specific questions, and in response to the question, "why did you stop believing" comes a story we hear much too often.. the special thing about the story this time is that likely millions of australian will read her story.. https://www.abc.net.au/life/i-dont-want-to-be-a-jehovahs-witness-anymore-or-lose-my-family/11885098.
the article also reminds us that australians are giving up on religion in increasing numbers.. quote: "it seems australians are increasingly giving up on god — or at least religion.. on the last census in 2016, nearly a third of australians (30 per cent) reported they had 'no religion' — the highest number of people ever to do so, and up 11 per cent on 2006.".

And... why is this no surprise?
In this first instalment of a three-part series, we hear from Julia*, a woman who grew up Jehovah's Witness.
Trigger warning: This story contains details of sexual assault.
Why did you stop believing?
I was raped at 14 by someone high up in the religion. I had very repressed memories from it, which only came out a few years ago after my kids were born.
I went to the elders and told them everything. And he got protected by them.
My husband had helped me complain, but after that he said, "The elders have dealt with it, just leave it at that."
I told my husband I don't believe anymore which caused us to separate at one point. We're back together again because he wants to try for the kids. But he doesn't feel he can love someone who doesn't believe in the religion.
He says God comes before marriage… I'm not a priority.
He actually refuses to have sex with me if I'm not doing the right thing via the religion. He withholds intimacy.

And i'll wager the numbers come straight from the WT as a source.... No doubt they count every copy printed rather than 'placed'.
Even if every magazine went into the trash i bet the boasted numbers wouldn't drop
